Rosalia Sanni

Takes an approach that strikes a balance between architecture, nature and people in order to create a meaningful landscape for her clients. Having lived and traveled in various cities in Europe and the U.S., she draws inspiration from diverse experiences and continually keeps her mind open to new ways of thinking that can influence her. Rosalia's work balances respect for tradition with an eye towards the future, and seamlessly integrates into modern day life.  Her landscapes relate to the context of the setting, as they explore the intersection of the manmade with nature.  

After 15 years of designing for visionary landscape architecture firms, Rosalia launched out on her own in 2014.  Rosalia completed her studies in landscape design at the New York Botanical Garden, after earning a B.A. at Tufts University. She also studied landscape architecture at UC Berkeley, and design & art history at Universitá Cattolica Del Sacro Cuore in Milan, Italy.  Prior to becoming a landscape designer, Rosalia led a successful career in advertising.

When not running her business, Rosalia donates her skills and enthusiasm to helping her community connect with nature and the outside world. She has served on the Board of Directors for Greenwich Community Gardens and is an active member of Greenwich Green Schools and the Design Leadership Network. 

Lina Cangrejo

Holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from the Pontifical Xavierian University in Bogota, Colombia and has 9+ years of professional experience across the architecture, real estate development and landscape architectural fields. She has been working with RSD since 2018, over which time she has enjoyed deepening her focus and knowledge of landscape architecture. Previously, Lina held several roles in related fields, first as an architectural designer working on both urban and residential projects at a Colombian architectural firm and then as a real estate professional working on large-scale urban redevelopment projects including basic project design and feasibility, zoning regulation analysis and the property acquisition process.  Lina is passionate about both art and nature and enjoys spending time outside and being creative. With RSD, Lina is especially passionate about applying her understanding of both the built environment and landscapes to discover new design ideas, approaches and perspectives that better connect and harmonize the relationship between the indoor and outdoor experiences.

Stephanie Rustici

received her Masters in Landscape Architecture at The Bernard and Anne Spitzer School of Architecture at The City College of New York. Stephanie joined Rosalia Sanni Design in 2020. Over the previous 7 years, she worked at various landscape design firms in New York City and Greenwich, CT.  She enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and traveling. She is inspired by the balance and flux of nature, which she uses to fuel the creativity of her designs. At RSD, Stephanie has a special interest in incorporating native plants into landscape plans, designing for families, as well as upholding the most current construction practices and processes. 

Jonathan Hopkins

is a graduate of the University of Georgia's College of Environment & Design with a degree in Landscape Architecture. With over a decade of landscape design experience, he has created layered, thoughtful gardens and outdoor spaces across the country. Since joining RSD in January 2022, Jonathan has brought his keen eye for detail and appreciation of the built environment to every project. A Connecticut transplant, he has developed a deep love for New England’s rich history and diverse native plant palette. When he’s not designing, Jonathan enjoys contributing to his local community garden and exploring new ways to incorporate beauty and functionality into outdoor spaces.
